It is understood that the accident caused the taxi to block the railway track, subsequently halting the first KRL’s service.

Cause of the incident under investigation
In other developments, Indonesia’s Transport Ministry has summoned the management of the e-hailing taxi company Green SM Indonesia to explain the accident that led to the fatal train collision.
“We have set up a special team to further investigate the involvement of Green SM taxis, including aspects of licensing, administrative requirements, safety standards, and compliance with public transport operating regulations,” said Land Transport Director-General Aan Suhanan.
Although the taxi involved was legally registered and held a valid operating permit until October 2026, Indonesian authorities said they would conduct further audits of the company’s safety management system.
