It seems that the Penang police task force will be taking another step forward when it comes to combating crime and dealing with criminals.
Penang police chief Comm Datuk Wira Chuah Ghee Lye confirmed that the Penang police will be armed with taser guns soon.
“These policemen will have a X26 Taser gun besides being armed with a pistol and baton. It is good to have another less lethal weapon when enforcing the law,” he told The Star.
According to the report, there will be a total of 90 taser guns which will only be assigned to those who have received training and are certified.
Policemen who are working in the frontline – patrol cars units, motorcycle patrol units and tourist police units - are the only ones who will be allowed to carry the taser gun.

To ensure that they do not abuse their power, our uniformed men have been trained to shoot only below the chest and never in the face.
The taser gun can be very effective when it comes to tackling violent suspects, Chuah told the news portal.
The taser gun has the power to deliver 50,000-volt shock in five seconds and is strong enough to immobilise the suspect.
So yeah, we suggest you don't kacau the police in Penang.
