Are you one of the many Malaysians who are hoping for a pay raise and bonus this year? If you answered yes (we’d doubt anyone who answers no), well, you're not alone.

A study conducted by a human resources firm, Randstad, found that Malaysians are the most optimistic in expecting a higher pay raise and bonus this year in Asia.

In fact, 78.1 per cent of Malaysian employees are hoping for a pay raise while 80 per cent are expecting a bonus by the end of the fiscal year.

Also, according to the study, experienced employees in the workforce are more likely to ask for a pay raise compared to their younger, less experienced colleagues.

It's raining money (and bonus).
Wah
, you guys are so sure ah that your company is giving out a big bonus or higher pay raise? Don’t hope too much, who knows you might get disappointed in the end.

According to Randstad, the level of expectation from Malaysian employees indicates a boost of confidence towards their company and also our country’s economic performance.

We’re counting down the days until we find out if we're getting a bonus this year, so please pray for us.
