We Tried The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Fes‑Table of Berkat Menu — Here’s What Stood Out

Ramadan has a way of softening time. Days feel slower, evenings stretch longer, and meals become less about indulgence and more about intention. This year, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia (CBTL) taps into that sentiment with Fes-Table of Berkat, a Ramadan–Raya menu that feels deeply rooted in the idea of togetherness.

As part of its ongoing Celebration of Fes-tables series, this Ramadan–Raya instalment places emphasis on familiarity with CBTL positioning itself as a convenient, comforting stop, whether before iftar, after evening prayers, or in between festive visits.

Indulgence first, coffee optional

Leading the seasonal menu are two Ice Blended drinks as well as Ready Brew Bandung Lychee and Iced Gula Melaka Latte with Gula Melaka Jelly.

The Matcha Hazelnut Ice Blended (with Kurma) is the quieter standout. Creamy and plant-based, it balances earthy matcha with the gentle sweetness of dates and mellow hazelnut notes. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something more indulgent, the Chocolate Banoffee Ice Blended delivers exactly that. With caramelised banana undertones, creamy chocolate, and a subtle crunch, this non-coffee option leans into nostalgic dessert flavours without feeling heavy.

For local flavour lovers, the Ready Brew Bandung Lychee is fragrant, milky, and refreshing while the Iced Gula Melaka Latte with Gula Melaka Jelly offers a different kind of indulgence with smoky gula melaka pairing naturally with coffee, while the chewy jelly pieces add an extra layer of texture that makes each sip feel more playful. 

Familiar flavours & festive twists

The food offerings feel especially well considered this season, with many dishes drawing from Malaysian comfort food while staying true to CBTL’s signature offerings.

The Nasi Lemak Burger is bold in concept but surprisingly balanced on the plate. Fragrant pandan rice patties hold together grilled chicken, sambal bilis, cucumber, and a fried egg, creating a combination that feels indulgent yet thoughtfully assembled. Alongside it, the Ayam Percik Pizza delivers familiar festive flavours in a format made for sharing with smoky chicken, rich percik sauce, red onions, and melted mozzarella coming together.

Balancing the heavier mains is the Shrimp Cracker Salad, a lighter dish that still feels distinctly festive. The Walnut Kurma Cake stands out with its warm spices, rich dates, and brown sugar sweetness. Meanwhile, the Mango Pulut Hitam Cake cleverly layers pandan sponge, coconut flakes, pulut hitam, sweet potato, and mango mascarpone, creating a dessert that’s local in both flavour and texture.

For sharing, the Pandan Coconut Cake for Two with Gula Melaka Crème Crown feels especially appropriate for the season, light, fragrant, and meant to be enjoyed together.

Overall, Fes‑Table of Berkat works because it keeps things straightforward. The menu’s stronger moments come through in items like the Nasi Lemak Burger, which delivers familiar flavours in a playful but balanced format, and the Ayam Percik Pizza, designed for easy sharing. On the drinks side, the Chocolate Banoffee Ice Blended and Iced Gula Melaka Latte with Gula Melaka Jelly stand out for leaning into indulgence without feeling excessive, while desserts like the Mango Pulut Hitam Cake bring a distinctly local touch to the line-up.
