Have you recently spotted a few bicycles randomly parked by a roadside? Or maybe at a shopping mall or LRT stations? Well, before you think that it’s probably a gang of cyclists making a quick pit stop, those bicycles can be used by you or anyone at any time and any day.

oBike is the first stationless smart bike sharing system in Malaysia. Originating from Singapore, this system allows you the freedom to ride a bike in just a click of a button.

They claim to be “faster than walking from your house to the LRT”, less time consuming, healthy and environmental friendly, and cheaper than taking a cab.

So if you feel like cycling to your destination instead of taking an e-hailing ride, this is your solution.

Ride your oBike anywhere, anytime.
All you have to do is download the oBike app and scan the QR code located on the bicycle which will remotely unlock the bike. A deposit will be required for you to use the bike and you will be charged according to the period of usage.

Now, here comes the good news!

In conjunction with Ride for Kuala Lumpur and the 2017 KL SEA Games, oBike has come up with a green initiative by offering FREE unlimited one hour rides from 14 August until 30 September. No promo code needed.

There’s no catch to this promotion. All you have to do is find the bikes -- which you can easily locate from the app -- and pay a deposit of RM19 for students and RM49 for other users.

If you’re planning to watch a couple of sporting events during the SEA Games, you can also find some oBikes at selected sporting venues.

Find the signboard with the 'Inisiatif Hijau' logo.
You can find ample amount of bicycles at various LRT stations.
So, what are you waiting for guys? Let’s get into the SEA Games spirit and cycle for a healthier lifestyle.
