Ever since the order came into effect on 18 March, some Malaysians were found still roaming around the streets or hanging out at parks with no solid reason. Some even treated the period like it was a public holiday.
Perhaps due to the stubbornness of Malaysians, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah himself decided it was time to check on his people.
Agong not satisfied
In a clip shared by Istana Negara, the Agong was seen wearing a mask standing next to the police barricade as vehicles pass by the inspection point.
Interestingly, prior to arriving at the roadblock, the Agong actually drove out of Istana Negara himself accompanied by a few personnel and commented that a lot of cars are still outside.
“As you can see there are still a lot of cars on the road. I hope I can see lesser cars on the road soon for the sake of everyone in Malaysia especially in Kuala Lumpur,” the YDPA said.
Malaysians who saw the clip praised our king for taking his time and effort to see what’s going on in the streets of KL.
Some also joked that they'd be scared to death if the YDPA was the one who stopped them for questioning.
The idea of our YDPA conducting a roadblock seems like something impossible a few weeks ago, but now, anything’s possible, especially when it comes to disobeying citizens.
Imagine going through a roadblock and Agong will just be there.... standing... and judging you for leaving your house ...
