The brave actions of two men who chased an armed robbery suspect in Mantin recently drew public attention when they themselves managed to apprehend the criminal.
Yap Chan Soon, 36, and Yap Chan Yow, 39, were undeterred by the risks and acted swiftly before the police arrived.

Nilai District Police Chief, Superintendent Johari Yahya, said that the quick actions of the two men helped speed up the investigation and led to the successful arrest of the suspect. According to him, the incident also helped resolve two related robbery cases, although further investigations are still ongoing.
“In conjunction with the 219th Police Day Celebration, the Nilai District Police extend their appreciation for the bravery of both individuals," he said.
“The police also hope that the public will continue to cooperate by providing information and helping to prevent crime."

Chased the suspects in a car
In a dashcam footage that has gone viral, a car is seen to crash into another car headon. The driver of the other car who is allegedly one of the suspects, proceeded to run out and into a house before running out with a few other individuals.
The driver proceeded to chase the suspects before crashing into a lamppost.
