By now, you may have heard of Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman’s #BotakChallenge fundraiser.
The young minister has pledged to go bald if he manages to collect RM200,000 for his 1 Keluarga 1 Laptop campaign, which aims to provide his less fortunate constituents with laptops.
Since Syed Saddiq announced the fundraiser initiative on Saturday, he has managed to collect more than RM185,000.
He managed to collect RM61,410 within the first 24 hours and the amount kept increasing, especially after he did a live cooking show on his Instagram.
On the last day of the challenge, Syed Saddiq has asked his followers, especially fellow Muarians, to help him reach the RM200,000 target.
As a last ditch effort to raise funs, he even posted the request with a video of him working out on his social media pages. We're not sure what's the relevence of the video, but if it gets the reach, guess it works.
If you wish to help the politician reach his fundraising goals, you can do so here. You can donate as little as RM10 or any amount you like.
We hope the MP will reach his target by 6pm today.
