If you are a die-hard fan of English football club Manchester City, your Monday must have started on a bright note.
The team was crowned Premier League Champions after defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-1 at the Amex Stadium on Sunday (12 May) night.
The win came after Man City finished with 98 points, as their closest rival Liverpool, beat Wolves 2-0 at Anfield, to finish at 97 points.
The match started with Brighton going ahead after Glenn Murray's goal in the 27th minute.
Man City, however, quickly caught up with a goal, just a minute later through Sergio Aguero,
It was followed up by a Aymeric Laporte goal 10 minutes later, just before halftime.
The second half saw Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan both scoring a goal each to put Man City in the driver's seat to retain the Premier League title.
This season's Premier League saw Man City and Liverpool going neck-to-neck to the final day of the season, with Man City looking to avoid a defeat or a draw to be crowned champions.
With the win, Man City became the first club to be crowned Premier League champions in back-to-back seasons since Manchester United in the 2007-2008 season.
Congrats, Man City!
