7-Year-Old Pahang Boy With Brain Cancer Gets To Fulfill His Final Wish As A Fireman

A few days ago, a Facebook page by the name of “Friends of Bomba Malaysia” uploaded a touching video about a seven-year-old boy who’s suffering from terminal illness.

It turns out that the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) has organised something special for little Ahmad Danial Ahmad Suhairi.

Ahmad Danial was diagnosed with stage four of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG) brain cancer earlier this year.

According to Berita Harian, the little lad’s last wish of becoming a fireman finally came true thanks to JBPM Pahang and Persatuan Sokongan Anak-anak Kanser (PESONA).

Despite being paralyzed and unable to speak, the seven-year-old was taken for a ride in the firetruck while dressed in full JBPM uniform. The firetruck was specially driven by JBPM Pahang’s director, Nor Hisham Mohammad.

“When I was approached by PESONA about Ahmad Danial’s plight, I immediately agreed to it because we’ll never know if we’ll ever get the chance to do it in the future,” Nor Hisham told the Malay daily.

“We understand how difficult it must be for the parents, so we want to share their sadness.”

Ahmad Danial’s father, Ahmad Suhairi Ali said that his son once told him that his ambition was to become a fireman one day.

Danial's dream is to become a firefighter one day.
“He sees these firemen as more than just a hero,” Ahmad Suhari said.

The father also added that DIPG is a very rare condition and no cure has been found so far.

We pray for the best for Ahmad Danial and his family, and we hope they’ll stay strong throughout this testing period.
