Seconds later, the driver was seen calling out to the girls. One of them approached the car briefly before turning away. Moments later, the girls were seen running off after turning a corner.

The driver was then captured reversing his car towards the same corner before fleeing the scene.

The man was arrested later that same day

The New Straits Times (NST) reported that a police report had been lodged by the father of one of the girls. Johor Bahru (North) Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Radin Ramlan Radin Taha said the girls involved are aged 10 and 12 and are cousins.

Later that day, the suspect, a man in his 50s, was apprehended at a house in Masai.

The suspect has been remanded to assist with investigations. The case is being investigated under Section 15(a)(i) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for non‑physical sexual acts, including indecent exposure.
