Every batch is crafted from natural, plant-based ingredients, non-GMO soybeans, roasted black sesame, Korean sweet potatoes, reflecting a commitment to clean living and mindful eating.

The space mirrors this ethos. Inspired by a modern hanok, the boutique blends warm wood tones, linen textures, and minimalist decor to create a serene, Instagram-worthy environment. Raw ingredients like soybeans and sesame seeds are displayed throughout, connecting diners to the origins of each flavour.

We sampled six flavours from the menu, each priced at RM18 per scoop, and here’s what stood out:
Pomegranate Gelato (Malaysia exclusive)
Our undisputed favorite. Vibrant and refreshing, this gelato bursts with the tart sweetness of real pomegranate jam and concentrate. The tofu base adds a creamy depth without overpowering the fruit, creating a harmonious balance that’s both indulgent and fresh.
Original Tofu Gelato
The flavor that started it all. Clean, delicate, and subtly nutty, the Original Tofu Gelato is a showcase in simplicity. If you’re curious about the concept, start here, it’s tofu in its purest, most elegant dessert form.
Black Sesame Gelato
Intense, nutty, and aromatic, this flavour is a dream for sesame lovers. The roasted black sesame seeds lend a deep, earthy richness that contrasts beautifully with the tofu’s creamy texture.

High-Protein Tofu Gelato
Designed for fitness enthusiasts, this variant amps up the soy protein for a nourishing twist. The texture is slightly denser, and the flavour leans more toward hearty than sweet. Perfect if you want dessert without derailing your macros.
Pistachio Gelato
A classic reimagined. Loaded with premium pistachios, this gelato delivers a lush, nutty flavour with a velvety finish. It’s luxurious without being too overindulgent, and the tofu base adds an unexpected lightness that keeps you coming back for more.
Korean Sweet Potato Gelato
Comfort in a scoop. Infused with real Korean sweet potatoes, this flavour offers natural sweetness and a creamy, almost custard-like texture. It’s subtly earthy, making it a soothing choice for those who prefer mellow flavours.
Other flavours
While we managed to almost all of TOFU G’s offerings, two intriguing options eluded us this time. The Matcha Gelato, another Malaysia-exclusive flavor, promises a refined experience for green tea enthusiasts. Crafted with premium matcha powder, it’s designed to strike a delicate balance between gentle bitterness and natural sweetness, all elevated by the creamy tofu base. If you’re a fan of earthy, nuanced flavors, this one should be high on your list.

Then there’s the Sweet Corn Gelato, which unfortunately wasn’t available during our visit. Made with premium Korean Chodang sweet corn, this flavour is said to deliver a unique interplay of natural sweetness and subtle savoury notes, complemented by the signature smoothness of tofu gelato.
Our verdict
TOFU G isn’t just introducing a new dessert, it’s redefining indulgence for the Malaysian palate. By marrying Korean craftsmanship with modern wellness trends, the brand delivers desserts which are innovative, nourishing, and undeniably delicious. Whether you’re a tofu skeptic or a health-conscious foodie, TOFU G is certainly worth trying.
Our recommendation? Start with the Pomegranate Gelato, it’s bright, refreshing, and exclusive to Malaysia, making it the perfect palate cleanser after a hearty bowl of samgyetang at MODU which we also reviewed. Then, dive into the classics like the Original Tofu Gelato for a true taste of TOFU G’s philosophy.
With both spots sitting side by side at TRX, this corner has become a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic Korean-inspired culinary experience.
