American rock band Evanescence is making a return to Malaysia after last performing here 14 years ago.
The group, best known for songs such as “My Immortal” and “Bring Me to Life,” is set to light up the stage at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil on 28 November.
Kuala Lumpur will be the only Southeast Asian destination for this exclusive tour stop.
Evanescence was founded in 1994 by singer Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody in Little Rock, Arkansas. Their debut studio album, Fallen, propelled the group to stardom, selling more than four million copies in the United States by January 2004.
The band has since gone on to snag several accolades, including two Grammy Awards, Best New Artist (2004) and Best Hard Rock Performance for “Bring Me to Life” (2004).
In 2014, Evanescence and Amy Lee parted ways with their record label and became an independent band.
The concert will be organised by Hello Universe.
