A tragic incident occurred in Teluk Intan, Perak, when a 17-year-old student lost his life after a sickle carried by another motorcyclist accidentally slashed his neck.
Malay Mail reported that at the time of the incident, the victim, Adham Faisal, a student at Kolej Vokasional Pertanian Teluk Intan, was riding a motorcycle with a friend. Their motorcycle passed close to another motorcycle carrying a long sickle at Batu 4, Kampung Selabak.
According to Hilir Perak district police chief Bakri Zainal Abidin, the incident happened when the long sickle carried by the other motorcyclist struck the victim’s neck. Adham reportedly fell onto the road after being struck and later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, his friend, an 18-year-old student, suffered injuries to his hand and is currently receiving treatment.
It is understood that the other motorcyclists, two foreign men aged 39 and 52, have been arrested to assist with the investigation. Several items, including the long-handled sickle and a motorcycle, were also seized.

Both suspects were brought to the Teluk Intan Magistrates’ Court for a remand application to facilitate further investigations.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 304A of the Penal Code for causing death by negligence.
