We’re now already half way through the Movement Control Order (MCO) and we’re sure nobody wants it to be extended.
However, there will be great chance of that happening if you don’t stay at home.
According to Astro Awani, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says that the ministry has taken a few drastic measures to prevent it from happening, including sanitising and disinfecting areas.
“The next step is to identification using accurate case detection where we will find, test, and isolate those who are positive,” Hisham said.
“Those who tested negative will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days as we treat them.”
The ministry is expecting the number of cases to spike up to over 6,000 cases by mid-April.
MAEPS Serdang has been chosen as the COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centre for those with low risks and also as the location in the event the third wave takes place.
Malaysia will also be capable of running 16,000 samples per day soon, which is 10,000 more than previously.
“We are hoping that with these efforts, we will be able to lessen the number of new cases and prevent it from reaching 6,000. That is our target. To flatten the exponential curve.”

Third wave incoming?
