Sometimes working out in public places can be a hassle especially for women.

We’d have to be cautious of our attire (especially for Muslim women), avoid awkward stares or unwarranted cat-calls from men.

Well those woes might be over soon for females as the government is planning to build the first female-friendly sports complex in Malaysia.

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin has announced that the complex will be equipped with a nursery, spa, and beauty salon.

The sporting complex is expected to be ready in three years.

Looks promising!
Among the amenities that will be available at the complex are a women-only swimming pool, an indoor court, and facilities for disabled people and children.

“We think there is a need to provide such a facility because women require a recreation area where they can be free and are not confined by various constraints,” Zuraida told Bernama.

Not only that, the sports complex will also potentially become a venue for international women’s sports meets and also to attract female tourists.

Well, we can’t wait until the complex is ready!
