The 90s was a great time to be alive, especially when it comes to music as it was the era of boybands.
Everyone had their favourite boyband and obviously, their favourite singers whose faces are plastered all over your bedroom walls.
For us, there was one boyband that claimed our hearts (and probably yours too) even until today.
It was Westlife.

The Irish boyband took the world by storm and propelled to fame when they debuted in 1998 with five members – Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, and Brian McFadden.
The band went on to achieve great success with a whopping 13 number one hits, countless sold out concerts and multi-platinum albums. However, Westlife made the decision to disband in 2012, breaking millions of hearts worldwide.
Well, if you still enjoy their songs even to this day and have been secretly hoping for them to reunite, your wish is pretty much coming true soon.
In a 35-seconds clip, Westlife made the announcement of the year – they’ve finally agreed to a reunion AND a tour!
In an interview with The Sun, frontman Shane shared that they “genuinely missed each other and missed the buzz of performing on stage together to all our fans.”
“We still have a lot that we want to achieve as a band and we want to bring our new music to fans all over the world.”
Brian McFadden, who left the band in 2004, however, has confirmed that he will not be joining the band on tour.
The boyband has also reportedly signed a new record deal with Universal Records and is set to go on tour in 2019.

Rumour has it that Ed Sheeran will be penning the band’s comeback single. Will there be a collaboration between the two? Let’s just hope it happens, because it’ll definitely be legendary!
Well, 2019 is just two months away, so we’re looking forward to what’s next for the five-piece band.
Perhaps put Malaysia in the cards as well for the world tour? Fingers crossed, guys.
