LOCCO co-founder Shamsul Bahrin Zainuzzaman said the event, themed Serumpun (Of the Same Roots), is held in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations this Saturday, except in Berlin and Melbourne, where it was held earlier on 31 August.

He said the event is expected to gather 20,000 participants who will wear sarongs and travel via trains and buses from 11 starting stations in the Klang Valley before converging at a central destination in Kuala Lumpur.

“This event reminds us that unity is not limited by geography; it is a shared heritage and a rhythmic pulse that connects us as Malaysians and as part of the ASEAN family.

“This uniqueness makes KS25 not just a local celebration, but a global cultural movement that unites Malaysians wherever they are,” he said.

Meanwhile, Adli Abdul Karim, Head of Group Communications & Branding at Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, said Rapid KL’s support for KS25 aligns with its role as the heartbeat of Malaysian mobility.

“Malaysia Day is not just about celebrating history and identity, but also about how we move. With Rapid KL’s network of trains and buses as the pulse of this movement, we are proud to support a tradition that unites people through culture, art, and mobility."
